Mr. Odom is President of HWS Petrophysics and Research Director of Hunter Well Science. He has received a B.S in Geophysics and a M.S. in Geology, and is registered as a professional geoscientist in Texas. Over the past 30 years his principal interest has been developing new techniques and systems for reservoir monitoring and cased-reservoir analysis. An early proponent of advanced computing and mathematical models, he has developed applications based on computer modeling, response surface methodologies and neural networks that have extended the capabilities of reservoir analysis.
Software Development Lead
Dr. Malalur received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington. His research areas include neural networks and machine learning algorithms, signal and image processing techniques, statistical pattern recognition and biometrics. He is currently interested in extending his research to develop techniques for modeling and analyzing reservoir geoscience data. He has authored several peer-reviewed publications in his field of research. He is also an active member of professional organizations such as, IEEE, INNS and SIAM.
